General Director of the CyberPlat® payment system Andrey Gribov announced that Wellcom connection is just the beginning of cooperation with the largest Siberian operator of cellular and fixed communication, and in the short run all ten Siberia regions will be accepting payments from the OJSC "Sibirtelecom" customers.

On 3d April 2006 a new generation cellular network Wellcom was launched in Tomsk providing high-speed data transfer and high-quality voice messages. Services of 3G cellular connection on the territory of Tomsk region are provided by the Center of Cellular Telecommunications of the Tomsk branch of the OJSC "Sibirtelecom". From 10th April 2006 Wellcom customers in Tomsk and region can top up their personal accounts online via the CyberPlat universal multi-bank payment system. The Tomsk branch of the OJSC "Sibirtelecom" represents the largest telecoms operator of Siberia in Tomsk and Tomsk region.

CyberPlat® is the first Russian universal multi-bank payment system realizing payments to telecoms operators, providers of Internet, satellite and cable television, payment for communal services and energy supply. The company has been operating in the electronic payment market for 8 years. The CyberPlat® turnover amounted to 1 billion and 120 million dollars (over 32 billion rubles) in 2005.

From now on all customers of the new generation cellular connection network Wellcom, regardless of their tariff plan, can easily and quickly top up their accounts and transfer money. There are two ways of payment: via open terminals placed in offices of "Russian Post", in shops, drug-stores or with the help of a special application form in cellular dealer shops that are partners of the CyberPlat®. Money is transferred to the customer account in real-time mode.

Connection of new generation communication network Wellcom to CyberPlat® is the first step to connect the whole Siberian company to the universal multi-bank payment system. Along with the Tomsk region, the OJSC "Sibirtelecom" has branches and serves customers still in 10 more Russian regions to join the CyberPlat® system in the short run.
