CyberPlat: The Turnover Exceeded 4.74 billion US dollars in 2007

CyberPlat, the largest Russian payment processing system once again confirmed its status of the indisputable leader in the cash acceptance segment.

Financial indicators

The total turnover of CyberPlat® payment processing system reached the amount of 4 billion 747 million US dollars in 2007. Thus, CyberPlat not only confirmed but also strengthened its leadership positions among the payment systems of Russia. CyberPlat, the largest payment processing system collects over 20% revenues of the leading mobile network operators in Russia being the largest partner for Beeline, MTS and MegaFon in terms of the amounts of payments accepted from the subscribers.

According to the December 2007 statistics, 94% of the turnover of CyberPlat, the leader in e-payments industry, are contributed by top-up transactions made by MNOs’ subscribers, 2.5% are contributed by payments made by pay-TV subscribers, 1% — by Internet services and IP-telephony subscribers, 1% — by public utility services and electricity consumers and the remaining 1.5 % represent the payments made for land-line services, security alarm systems, consumer loan repayments, etc.

CyberPlat® is the first one among the Russian payment systems; it was established in 1997. The first online payment was made on March, 18, 1998 for Guarant-Park. The first payment for Beeline, the first mobile network operator, was effected on August 12, 1998. During its almost 10 years of operation at the electronic payments market CyberPlat has been showing a dynamic and stable growth in the key performance indicators, such as the turnover and the number of payment acceptance outlets.

During 2007 1billion 250 million payments were transacted through universal payment processing system CyberPlat®. According to experts, the quantity of the payments transacted daily through Cyberplat® multiply exceeds the number of transactions made by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and international payment systems VISA and MasterCard in Russia combined.

It is noteworthy that all e-payment transactions according to CyberPlat technology are processed with use of electronic digital signature in online mode taking less than 2 seconds.
