The first billion dollars worth of payments collected through CyberPlat®

The total amount of payments collected by CyberPlat® for mobile operators, ISP's sat and cable TV networks has reached $1 billion

CyberPlat® is the oldest payment reception network in Russia. The first payment reception transaction was executed through CyberPlat® on August 12 1998: the transaction transferred money into the account of a mobile operator's subscriber. It was executed online and used electronic signatures. In other words cash was paid at a location that wasn't owned by neither CyberPlat® nor the operator and the corresponding amount was successfully added to the client's account with the operator.

Today CyberPlat® is the largest payment reception network in Russia. In 2004 its turnover was $459 million, and on May 13 2005 the total amount of payments receipted through the system since its launch reached $1 billion. This happened just as CyberPlat® entered a new stage of corporate development characterized by a rapid increase in the payment reception turnover and the number of clients.

Even today CyberPlat® could be called a payment reception system of the future. Its main features are speed (a typical transaction takes no more than 2 seconds) and security that is insured by mandatory use of electronic signatures.

CyberPlat® is a closed payment reception system. The difference from an open type system is that in CyberPlat® all participants of a transaction (the subscriber, the provider and the dealer/agent who takes the payment) are known beforehand. An outlet operator cannot withdraw money from the system as the only type of transaction supported by it is from an outlet to a provider and eventually money always gets added to a subscriber's account.

An important feature of CyberPlat® is that it uses a number of different technological solutions and can thus be adapted to be used by just about anyone depending on the client's needs. For example, retail chains such as Grossmart and Ostrov use cash registers, the Jackpot casino chain use a customized solution based on their corporate network. Other dealer chains ("Svyaznoy, DIXIS, Euronet, Mobile Center, Beta Link etc) use the web portal, electronic appliances retail chains Mir, Belyi Veter and the Sibneft filling stations all use a PC based solution, while small dealers and sub dealers primarily use light configurations based on Excel and GPRS.

It's worth noting that people can use CyberPlat® to pay not just for mobile phones but also for their fizzed phones (Rostelecom, MGTS), sat and cable TV (NTV-plus, Corbina Telecom, Cosmos-TV, DIVO TV), and for ISP services (MTU-Intel, MatrixTelecom and others).

However the reception of cash payments is not the only service offered by CyberPlat®. Subscribers of leading mobile operators can top up their accounts at a discount through the Internet.

The total number of CyberPlat®'s outlets is more than 6800 across Russia. Only in the last year projects were implemented to receipt cash payments at Sibneft filling stations, R-Style computer stores, offices of the commercial banks Sibcontact and Uralprivatbank, through the largest metropolitan chain of instant payment machines I-box, as well as at Moscow offices of the Iz Ruk v Ruki newspaper, at 36.6 pharmacies and in the offices of the Murmansk subsidiary of North West Telecom.

It's worth a special mention that a number of Russian federal postal offices began taking CyberPlat® payments as well. As of the present moment around 300 postal offices have joined the project. As part of the partnership between CyberPlat® and the Russian Federal Post Service another 17000 out of the total 42000 of postal offices are going to join the network.

CyberPlat® enjoys successful cooperation with a number of large retail chains such as Svyaznoi, DIXIS, Euronet, Mobile Center, Beta Link, ION, Cifrograd, Alt Telecom, Ultra and a number of others.

As part of their strategic partnership, Svyaznoi and CyberPlat® implemented a joint project to begin collecting payments for Rostelecom for long distance and international calls. At the same time MGTS services can now be paid for through CyberPlat® at DIXIS stores.

Special attention is paid to increasing CyberPlat®'s presence in the regions. In the last year a number of projects were launched to organize payment reception in the Central, North Western, Southern, Volga, Urals, and Siberian federal districts. This allowed the company to organize payment collection in the majority of Russian regions.

The steadily increasing turnover and quality of service make CyberPlat® a market leader in its sector. Thus MTS and Vympelcom thanked CyberPlat® for record payment reception on their behalf.

It has to be noted that CyberPlat®'s partners are primarily large companies with steadily increasing turnovers and a high level of corporate and engineering culture, whether they are retail chains or mobile service providers or sat and cable TV networks or ISP's.

In early May 2005 CyberPlat® launched a project to begin collecting utilities payments in Moscow. "More outlets where utilities bills can be paid and the possibility to pay without having to stand in line represent the kind of customer service that more and more Muscovites and Russians in general are beginning to expect " says Vladimir Kuznetsov, first Deputy Chairman of the "Platina" Bank's board and Executive Director of CyberPlat®. " When all our networks starts taking utilities payments, people will be able to pay their utilities bills practically on every corner, at least in the capital."

"Successful development of CyberPlat®'s business stems from the fact that we're constantly ahead in the kind of services and technologies we offer our clients and partners" believes Andrey Gribov , Chairman of the Board of the "Platina" Bank that owns CyberPlat®, " Our system is undisputable the most convenient, the fastest and the most secure and thus it is the most attractive to clients and partners alike. We're sure we'll continue growing just as fast as we are now as the overall market expands and new technologies and the Internet make their way deeper into the regions of Russia ".

Up to day and easy to use technologies, high security of transactions ensured by the use of electronic signatures, comfortable financial conditions that include the use of future collected payments as collateral for business loans, all of these make CyberPlat® a most attractive partner for Russia's leading companies.

As the company continues to offer new services while constantly improving their quality it's surely going to process many more billions dollars.
