SMARTS begins collecting payments through CyberPlat®

The Mid Volga Transindustrial Association of Radio telecom - SMARTS , that is rated among the top 25 mobile operators in Eastern Europe and former USSR, has begun collecting payments through CyberPlat.

SMARTS operates in the Volga region, Central region and in the south of Russia. Covering a total of 16 regions.

To pay for mobile services, a subscriber will just have to fill out a pay ticket, pay the amount in cash to the cash register operator and get the receipt. In the pay ticket a subscriber has to specify their account or phone number, full name, the amount, date and time of payment. The money then gets transferred into the subscriber's account online. The whole procedure only takes a few seconds. The security of the transactions is guaranteed by the use of electronic signatures.

"SMARTS have its own niche in the market and is successfully holding on to a sizable share in its traditional regions. Partnering up with CyberPlat® will increase the quality of their customer service allowing their subscribers to top up their accounts at 829 locations" says Vladimir Kuznetsov, Deputy Chair of the "Platina" Bank's Board and Executive Director of Cyberplat®.com.


SMARTS CJSC
The company began operation in May 1991. Today it operates in 12 regions including Astrakhan, Volgograd, Ivanovo, Samara, Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Krasnodar, Bashkiria, Kalmykia, Tatarstan and others

According to the analytical agency Sotovik, SMARTS CJSC rates among the top 25 larges operators of Eastern Europe and former USSR. At the end of 2004 SMARTS was 24th in this rating (In 2003 it was 26th ). Currently, SMARTS experts say the company probably rates among the top 20 thanks to its marketing strategy and the expanding Russian market.
